About Us

How two courageous women developed the first effective skincare in Germany.

Düsseldorf, 1936. The young beautician Margarethe Sendler is puzzled by the fact that skin creams "mostly have flower names, but no information about their purpose and ingredients." How are women supposed to know which skincare is best for their skin? She and her friend, the physician Dr. Bertha Roeber, decide to take matters into their own hands.

With their combined expertise, they developed a completely new type of cream: with targeted formulas, proven ingredients, and clearly defined effects. The birth of Germany's first effective skincare! In a time of economic and political upheaval, Margarethe and Bertha founded their own cosmetics company: MARBERT.
